Don't expect Josh Hamilton to ever don a Texas Rangers jersey again.

Rangers general manager Jon Daniels fielded questions from fans Saturday, and was asked what the chances were of Hamilton returning to the Rangers.

"Small," Daniels replied.

Hamilton has received a harsh reception in Arlington after leaving the team before the 2013 season to join the Los Angeles Angels. Reports surfaced in December, however, that the Rangers explored the possibility of trading for Hamilton.

Hamilton won the 2010 American League MVP as a member of the Rangers in 2010, and was named an All-Star in each of his five years in Texas.

The Angels would have a hard time moving the slugger, should they choose to do so, with three years remaining on his contract and over $90 million still owed to him.
