The Texas Rangers signed right-hander Ross Ohlendorf to a minor-league contract with an invitation to spring training, the team announced Friday.
The 32-year-old was plagued with injuries in 2014, including a back ailment that limited him to only five minor-league starts.
Ohlendorf has the ability to pitch out of the bullpen or start, which could help him compete for a spot on the Opening Day roster.
