De La Rosa was traded to the A's on Thursday for cash considerations, reports Jane Lee of MLB.com.
Analysis:
De La Rosa spent his first significant time in the Majors in 2014 and compiled a 2.95 ERA with 32 strikeouts over 36.2 innings. He should compete for a spot in the A's bullpen in 2015, but the A's do have a number of lefty relievers certain to make the squad, so De La Rosa could end up in Triple-A to start the year.
