Report: Marlins not listening to trade offers on closer Cishek
Brett Davis / USA TODAY Sports
The Miami Marlins made a $325-million commitment to Giancarlo Stanton on Wednesday and are now squashing rumors their closer is available via trade.
Steve Cishek has quietly developed into one of the most effective closers in the game over the past two seasons, recording 73 saves in 79 chances.
The right-hander is arbitration-eligible this offseason and is projected to cash in $6.9 million for his services in 2015.
