Report: Mariners ice-cream scout to be released

The Seattle Mariners are reportedly parting ways with the scout who allegedly sent Mariners catcher Jesus Montero an ice-cream sandwich.
Butch Baccala, who Montero accused of sending him ice cream during a game with Triple-A Everett in August as a joke about the 24-year-old's weight, will be let go according to CBS reporter Jon Heyman.
Baccala has denied the accusation. Montero, meanwhile, was suspended for the season earlier this month after he responded to the alleged taunt by approaching the stands with a bat.
