An ailing ankle will keep Miguel Cabrera from being used defensively Monday, but manager Brad Ausmus has managed to get his bat in the lineup.
Cabrera, who has one hit in his last 16 at-bats, departed the second game of a doubleheader on Saturday with a sore ankle and Ausmus said that they will monitor him on a day-to-day basis.
