Report: Twins' Mauer to be activated Monday

The Minnesota Twins will reportedly receive a huge boost prior to opening a three-game set with the Houston Astros on Monday.
Sounds like Joe Mauer will be coming off the DL on Monday in Houston as hoped. Corresponding move TBD.

Mauer, who has been out since July 1 with an oblique strain, has been rehabbing in the minors and will be a welcomed addition to Ron Gardenhire's lineup.
The 31-year-old was hitting .271 with two homers and 28 RBIs in 76 games prior to suffering the injury.
