The Los Angeles Dodgers appear to be abandoning their five-man outfield rotation and are in talks with five teams about trading disgruntled outfielder Matt Kemp, according to Jon Heyman of CBS Sports.
Kemp's agent, former MLB pitcher Dave Stewart, strongly indicated for the second time in a week that it was time for Kemp to move on.
“Eight years is a long time to be in one place,” Stewart said. “Sometimes change is good. This might be the time to change.”
Heyman credited FOX Sports with mentioning the Dodgers have already contacted multiple teams about 29-year-old's services. The teams mentioned include the Seattle Mariners, Boston Red Sox and Texas Rangers, with another unknown American League team in the mix and one from the National League.
