Paul Goldschmidt continues dominance against Tim Lincecum
Baseball is a funny game. Just ask the Arizona Diamondbacks' Paul Goldschmidt.
Hitters go into slumps at weird times throughout the season, and on that same note, get hot without explanation. The season is a grind, and it's frustrating to go through all the ups and downs, unless that is, when a specific player goes up against a pitcher they see very well. That too, is impossible to explain.
Paul Goldschmidt came into Friday's action with incredible numbers against San Francisco Giants right-hander Tim Lincecum, and all he did was continue that trend with a 2-for-2 night and a walk. The first baseman is now 15-for-26 all-time against him, with seven home runs. Incredible.
And Goldschmidt's comments after the game - which the Diamondbacks won.
#Dbacks Goldschmidt on his dominance of #SFGiants Lincecum: "I know I’ve had success, but that can change at any second."
