San Francisco Giants manager Bruce Bochy wants to play it safe with injured starting pitcher Matt Cain.

Cain has missed one start due to a hamstring strain and the 34-win Giants have no reason to rush him back with a comfortable 5.5-game lead over the Los Angeles Dodgers in the National League West.
Yusmeiro Petit filled in for Cain on Monday and is the likely candidate to do so again Saturday if Cain is unavailable.
