Analysis:

Shoemaker has been impressive this spring, as he now owns a 2.16 ERA, and has struck out eight batters in 8.1 innings pitched in Cactus League play. It's difficult to say how much consideration Shoemaker is getting from the Angels' organization, but he may be a candidate for a sixth starter/long relief role if Joe Blanton is released or traded prior to the start of the 2014 season.
