Detroit Tigers reliever Joba Chamberlain has a new (to us, anyway) tattoo, and it is amazing. Check it out:

Chamberlain had Tommy John surgery in June 2011, leaving him with a scar, which, as you can see, he's turned into a smile.
And you know what? We can appreciate that. Life's all about turning negatives into positives; it's about learning from our most troubled experiences, and becoming better people - and pitchers - because of them.
We didn't expect to learn life lessons from Joba Chamberlain, of all people, on a Thursday evening in late February, but here we are. Thank you, Joba. Thank you so much.
