Jason Heyward: Two-Year Contract With Braves
Heyward signed a two-year, $13.3 million contract with the Braves on Tuesday, MLB.com reports.
Analysis:
The Braves crossed one major name off their to-sign list Tuesday, but they still have Craig Kimbrel and Freddie Freeman up for arbitration. While Heyward was unable to really get going in 2013, as his season was interrupted by various injuries, he's expected to lead off for Atlanta after hitting .322/.403/.551 atop the lineup last year. Still just 24 years old, Heyward still has some room to grow as a player.
