The Milwaukee Brewers signed manager Pat Murphy to a new three-year deal with a club option for 2029, sources told The Athletic's Ken Rosenthal.

Murphy's reported deal reworks the final year of the manager's previous contract and adds two more years, Rosenthal adds.

"I'm sincerely grateful I have a locker. Getting to be part of the Brewers organization for the last 10 years has been a great journey. Getting to continue in this position is an honor," Murphy told MLB.com's Adam McCalvy.

Murphy led the Brewers to the NL Central crown with the most wins in the majors (97) last season. Milwaukee also won its division two seasons ago with Murphy in charge.

The 67-year-old took the job after Craig Counsell departed for the Chicago Cubs ahead of the 2024 campaign. Murphy's been named NL Manager of the Year two seasons in a row.

He previously served as the Brewers' bench coach under Counsell.
