Report: GMs think Tucker will sign with Yankees, Dodgers, or Jays
There appear to be three early favorites to land outfielder Kyle Tucker in free agency this offseason.
Some MLB general managers predict the four-time All-Star will sign with the New York Yankees, Los Angeles Dodgers, or Toronto Blue Jays, according to USA Today's Bob Nightengale.
The Yankees have a glaring hole in their outfield with Cody Bellinger testing free agency. New York will attempt to bring back the 30-year-old or replace him with Tucker, reports Nightengale.
The two-time defending World Series champion Dodgers could use Tucker to improve an outfield that currently consists of Teoscar Hernández, Tommy Edman, and Andy Pages. Los Angeles freed up $87 million with the departures of Clayton Kershaw, Michael Conforto, Chris Taylor, and Kirby Yates, according to Nightengale.
The Blue Jays could snag Tucker as well after earning around an extra $50 million in revenue from their World Series run, reports Nightengale.
Tucker went deep 22 times with 73 RBIs, 25 stolen bases, and an .841 OPS over 136 games for the Chicago Cubs in 2025 en route to winning his second Silver Slugger. The 28-year-old is expected to ink a lucrative multi-year deal worth north of $300 million.
