The New York Yankees are among the teams showing interest in free-agent pitchers Aaron Nola and Yoshinobu Yamamoto, sources told MLB Network's Jon Morosi.

Nola and Yamamoto are two of the marquee starting pitchers available on the free-agent market this offseason.

Nola has spent his entire nine-year career with the Philadelphia Phillies. The 30-year-old owns a lifetime 3.72 ERA and 10.0 K/9 over 1,422 innings.

The Atlanta Braves and St. Louis Cardinals have also reportedly shown interest in Nola.

Yamamoto is expected to be posted by the NPB's Orix Buffaloes after an illustrious seven-year career. The 25-year-old won the last three Sawamura Awards as Japan's top pitcher.

The Yankees are currently projected to enter the 2024 season with a starting rotation of Gerrit Cole, Carlos Rodón, Michael King, Clarke Schmidt, and Nestor Cortes.

New York made a big splash in the pitching market last offseason, inking Rodón to a six-year, $162-million contract.
