The Houston Astros finished on top of the AL West again.

Houston collected its sixth division title over the last seven years thanks to an 8-1 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks on Sunday coupled with a Texas Rangers loss to the Seattle Mariners on the final day of the regular season.

Both teams finished with 90 wins but Houston owned the tiebreaker after going 9-4 against Texas this season.

The Astros secured the No. 2 seed in the AL and will get a bye to the ALDS along with the No. 1-seeded Baltimore Orioles.

The No. 3 Minnesota Twins will host the No. 6 Toronto Blue Jays, while the No. 5 Rangers visit the No. 4 Tampa Bay Rays. The best-of-three wild-card series starts Tuesday.

Alex Bregman, Kyle Tucker, and José Abreu combined for six hits and five RBIs to lead the Astros on Sunday. Meanwhile, Cristian Javier didn't allow a run on three hits with four strikeouts and two walks over six innings to collect his 10th victory of the campaign.
