Boston Red Sox left-hander Richard Bleier expressed his displeasure with Baltimore Orioles fans after they sprayed beer on players in his team's bullpen and spat on a staff member during an 8-6 Red Sox win at Camden Yards on Tuesday.
"Completely inappropriate," Bleier told The Boston Globe's Julian McWilliams. "I played here and that's not the fan base I remember. It was something I've never seen before."
Red Sox relievers were unhappy with security near the bullpen during the contest, according to WEEI's Rob Bradford.
Bleier spent four seasons with the Orioles from 2017-2020 before he was traded to the Miami Marlins. Miami sent the 36-year-old to the Red Sox in January.
