The Cincinnati Reds and utility player Chad Pinder agreed to a minor-league deal, a source told FanSided's Robert Murray.

The 30-year-old Pinder hit .235/.263/.385 with 12 home runs and 42 RBIs in 111 games for the Oakland Athletics last season.

Pinder spent his entire seven-year career with the Athletics, posting a .711 OPS (96 OPS+) in 553 games.

He has appeared at every position except catcher throughout his career, even pitching in one game last season.

Pinder is the latest addition to a revamped Reds squad that includes other new faces like Wil Myers, Curt Casali, Luke Weaver, Kevin Newman, Luke Maile, and Nick Solak.
