The Cleveland Guardians agreed to a one-year, $6-million deal with free-agent catcher Mike Zunino, sources told FanSided's Robert Murray.
Zunino spent the past four seasons with the Tampa Bay Rays, hitting 51 home runs with a .677 OPS in 263 contests.
The 31-year-old was limited to 36 games in 2022 after undergoing surgery to alleviate symptoms of thoracic outlet syndrome in his left shoulder.
Guardians catchers combined to post a 55 wRC+ and minus-0.2 WAR last season, with Austin Hedges and Luke Maile getting most of the reps.
Cleveland also inked first baseman Josh Bell to a two-year, $33-million deal last week.
