The Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the Arizona Diamondbacks 4-0 on Tuesday to clinch the National League West division title for the ninth time in the last 10 seasons.

Dodgers left-hander Clayton Kershaw pitched seven scoreless innings, allowing two hits and striking out five to earn the win. Caleb Ferguson and Craig Kimbrel followed Kershaw to finish out the contest for Los Angeles.

The longtime Dodgers ace kicked off the champagne celebration in the clubhouse, thanking his teammates "for being so good" after telling everyone he loved them.

Joey Gallo hit a two-run homer off D-Backs starter Merrill Kelly in the second inning to kick off the scoring. Freddie Freeman and Max Muncy each supplied solo blasts, as well.

The Dodgers pushed their record to 98-43 following Tuesday's win. Their .695 winning percentage is tops in the majors, with the Houston Astros next closest at .648.

It's a return to the top of the NL West for the Dodgers, who finished second to the 107-win San Francisco Giants a season ago.
