The Atlanta Braves traded right-hander Touki Toussaint to the Los Angeles Angels for cash considerations, the clubs announced Sunday.
Los Angeles assigned Toussaint to Triple-A following the deal. Infielder Jack Mayfield was designated for assignment to make room on the 40-man roster.
Toussaint hasn't pitched in the majors this season but owns a 5.46 ERA with 9.6 K/9 over 49 games (21 starts) since debuting with the Braves in 2018.
The 26-year-old was ranked as one of the best pitching prospects in the Braves' minor-league system in 2019.
