The Los Angeles Angels and catcher Max Stassi are in agreement on a three-year contract extension, the team announced Thursday.
Stassi's extension will pay him $17.5 million and includes a club option for 2025, FanSided's Robert Murray reports.
Stassi is set to make $3 million this year and $7 million each of the next two seasons. There’s a $7.5 million club option in 2025, or a $500K buyout. So $17.5 million guaranteed for Max Stassi.

The 31-year-old enjoyed a strong campaign in 2021, hitting .241/.326/.426 with a career-high 13 home runs and 35 RBIs in 87 games.
Stassi began his career with the Houston Astros, appearing in 163 games across seven seasons before the Angels acquired him via trade in July 2019.
