McMahon is coming off a career season during his age-26 campaign, slashing .254/.331/.449 with 23 homers, 86 RBIs, and a 2.5 fWAR across 151 games in 2021. He predominately played third base (95 starts) but also spent time at second base (44 starts).
The Rockies selected McMahon in the second round of the 2013 draft. He's played with the club for five years, accruing two 20-plus homer seasons over the last three campaigns.
Colorado will likely lean on McMahon's bat more this season with Trevor Story reportedly joining the Boston Red Sox on a lucrative multi-year pact.
