The Philadelphia Phillies didn't exercise Andrew McCutchen's $15-million team option, the club announced Wednesday.

The 35-year-old outfielder is now a free agent and believes he still has plenty to offer his next employer:

The former MVP and five-time All-Star hit .222/.334/.444 with 27 homers and six steals over 144 games in 2021.

McCutchen joined the Phillies ahead of the 2019 season after signing a three-year, $50-million deal.

The veteran hit .237/.343/.444 with 47 homers and 12 steals across 260 games with Philadelphia.

The four-time Silver Slugger joins a free-agent outfielder class headlined by Kris Bryant, Starling Marte, Nick Castellanos, Kyle Schwarber, and Michael Conforto.

The Phillies also declined Odubel Herrera's option. The 29-year-old outfielder remains under team control with one season of arbitration left.
