Boston Red Sox outfielder Enrique Hernandez made postseason history Friday with an impressive Game 1 performance against the Houston Astros in a 5-4 loss.
The 30-year-old went 4-for-5 with two home runs to become the first player in MLB history to record 12-plus hits over a four-game span in a single postseason, according to the Red Sox.

Hernandez just needed a triple to complete the cycle Friday and also played some incredible defense in the contest.
He made a run-saving grab with the bases loaded in the second inning, followed by a circus-style catch in the fifth, and then uncorked an incredible 97.5-mph throw from center field in the eighth that nearly prevented a run from scoring.
"Enrique right now is en fuego," Red Sox manager Alex Cora said after Game 1, according to NBC Sports Boston.
Hernandez has been a major force in the Red Sox lineup over the last four contests, compiling 13 hits, four home runs, and eight RBIs.
