Astros' Odorizzi upset after early hook vs. Mariners: 'It's bullshit'
Houston Astros right-hander Jake Odorizzi wasn't happy about being pulled early against the Seattle Mariners on Tuesday and made sure to let his feelings be known postgame.
"Honestly, I think it's bullshit," the pitcher said, according to MLB.com's Brian McTaggart.
Manager Dusty Baker removed Odorizzi in the fifth inning after 66 pitches and with the game tied 2-2. The 31-year-old was about to face the heart of the Mariners' lineup for the third time, a point where he's struggled throughout the season.

Five Astros relievers combined to allow three hits and one earned run over five frames during a 5-4 extra-innings win.
"I'm glad we won. If not, I'd be the subject of blame," Odorizzi added. "I had 66 pitches through five innings. I don't really know what needs to be said other than that."
The 31-year-old met with general manager James Click and manager Dusty Baker on Wednesday to talk about the incident.
"It’s good to have those conversations," Odorizzi said, according to Brian McTaggart of MLB.com. "It's important as a team we have those and we move on from them. It's not an issue moving forward. I told them it's not changing my aspects, my views of anything.
"It's a non-issue for me. I'm perfectly fine today. We got to talk about it. That's what adults do. We handled it like men, and I said what I needed to say."
The Astros signed Odorizzi to a two-year, $20.5-million deal before the 2021 campaign. He's authored a 6-7 record with a 4.28 ERA and 1.21 WHIP over 94 2/3 innings.
