The Colorado Rockies traded right-hander Mychal Givens to the Cincinnati Reds for right-handers Case Williams and Noah Davis on Wednesday.

Givens is having a solid campaign with Colorado. He owns a 2.73 ERA with 34 strikeouts in 29 2/3 innings.

The veteran reliever was Colorado's best at stranding runners (88.2 LOB%), and his 10.3 strikeouts per nine innings ranked second among Rockies relievers with at least 20 innings pitched, according to FanGraphs.

Givens, 31, will join a Reds bullpen that also acquired pitchers Luis Cessa and Justin Wilson from the New York Yankees on Wednesday.

The Rockies selected Williams in the fourth round of the 2020 draft before trading him to the Reds in a deal involving Jeff Hoffman last November.

The 19-year-old owns a 2-5 record with a 5.55 ERA in 47 innings for Single-A Daytona this season. MLB Pipeline ranked him as the Reds' No. 20 prospect before the deal.

Davis, 24, was the Reds' No. 26 prospect. The righty posted a 3.60 ERA with 77 strikeouts in 65 innings at High-A Dayton.
