Cincinnati Reds first baseman Joey Votto was suspended one game for an outburst following his ejection for arguing balls and strikes in Saturday's contest, according to MLB.com's Mark Sheldon.
MLB originally banned Votto for two games, but his punishment was reduced after an appeal, Sheldon adds. He will serve the suspension Tuesday.
The six-time All-Star wasn't pleased about an appealed check swing during his at-bat in the first inning against the San Diego Padres.
Joey Votto has been ejected from today's game.
