Chicago White Sox outfielder Luis Robert was forced to leave Sunday's game against the Cleveland Indians after suffering an injury while trying to beat out a ground ball.

Robert was diagnosed with a right hip flexor strain, the team announced. X-rays came back negative, and he'll undergo further tests Monday. There currently isn't a timeline for his return.

Robert collapsed in pain after crossing first base and had to be helped off the field by trainers as he couldn't apply pressure on his right leg or walk under his own power.

It's the latest injury suffered by a White Sox outfielder. Eloy Jimenez is slated to miss most of the campaign with a ruptured pectoral tendon, and Adam Engel hasn't played in 2021 due to a hamstring issue.

Robert will be going on the injured list and remains without a specific timeline, though his outlook doesn't appear as severe as that of Jimenez.

Robert, 23, is batting .316/.359/.463 across 103 plate appearances to start the season. Adam Eaton replaced him Sunday.
