Price to auction off WS ring, donate proceeds to The Players Alliance
Los Angeles Dodgers left-hander David Price will auction off his 2020 World Series ring and donate the proceeds to The Players Alliance and its outreach efforts, the team announced Friday, according to Bill Plunkett of the Orange County Register.
Price received a championship ring Friday even though he opted out of the 2020 MLB season due to concerns about the coronavirus pandemic.

The 35-year-old pitcher is listed on the major-league player committee for The Players Alliance.
Founded last summer, The Players Alliance is dedicated to creating "an inclusive culture within baseball and the community, where differences are leveraged to elevate racial equality and provide greater opportunities for the Black community, both in our game and the places we live in, play in, and care about most," according to its official mission statement.
