Garrett: I want people to think Reds are 'cockiest team ever'

Cincinnati Reds closer Amir Garrett wants his team to be as brash as possible this season.

"I want everybody to think that the Cincinnati Reds are, like, the cockiest team ever," Garrett said Tuesday. "We're some bat flippin', show boatin', son of guns, and I want everybody to know that."

The Reds were involved in a benches-clearing incident with the St. Louis Cardinals over the weekend, which resulted in outfielder Nick Castellanos receiving a two-game suspension for his role in the fracas.

Castellanos is appealing the ban, so he was able to play Monday and fired up Reds fans with a big home run and bat flip against the Pittsburgh Pirates.

The 29-year-old also skipped to first base after hitting a homer off Cardinals starter Jack Flaherty on Opening Day.
