The Los Angeles Dodgers remain the likeliest destination for free-agent third baseman Justin Turner, but the New York Mets and Milwaukee Brewers are still interested, reports Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic.

While the Mets are eyeing the former All-Star, the two parties aren't lining up on years or dollars, Rosenthal adds.

Turner signing in Flushing would conclude a busy offseason for New York, but it would also create a positional logjam. The Mets are reportedly unsure what J.D. Davis, the incumbent third baseman who broke out in 2019, would get them in a trade. National League teams will go back to playing without the designated hitter in the upcoming 2021 campaign.

Brewers owner Mark Attanasio is also reportedly interested in Turner, but Milwaukee recently added Kolten Wong to their infield, moving second baseman Keston Hiura to first base. The left side of the Brewers' infield is currently comprised of Orlando Arcia at shortstop and Luis Urias, whom Milwaukee acquired from the San Diego Padres last winter, at the hot corner.

Turner, 36, has reportedly maintained his desire for a four-year deal this winter while the Dodgers have remained optimistic about a reunion with their former NLCS MVP and prefer a two-year pact.
