2020 might have been Jon Lester's last season with the Chicago Cubs after the team recently declined his option for next year, so he made sure to thank the city of Chicago.
The veteran left-hander showed his gratitude for fans in the Windy City by buying them a round of beers over the weekend:
Lester ended up putting 4,838 beers on his bar tab and also made sure to leave some generous tips:
The 36-year-old southpaw won 77 games, authored a 3.64 ERA, and was a two-time All-Star during his six seasons with the Cubs.
He was also named NLCS MVP in 2016 when he helped the Cubs win their first World Series in 108 years.
