Atlanta Braves outfielder Ronald Acuna Jr. took to social media to post a pair of blunt messages directed at the Miami Marlins after a testy exchange between the teams during Game 1 of the National League Division Series on Tuesday.

Acuna was upset after Marlins right-hander Sandy Alcantara hit him with a pitch in the third inning following the slugger's leadoff home run in the first.

The 22-year-old superstar was fired up after taking Alcantara deep.

"I knew that he didn't hit him on purpose," Marlins manager Don Mattingly told Fox Sports postgame. "With Acuna, you can't just lay the ball out over the plate. ... He's trying to run the ball off the plate there."

Alcantara insisted he didn't intentionally hit Acuna, but added, "If he's ready to fight, I'm ready to fight, too," according to Levi Weaver of The Athletic.

"I tried to go inside. I don't know why they always think when we hit Acuna that it's on purpose," Alcantara said, per Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald.

The Marlins have plunked Acuna numerous times over the last few seasons. Righty Jose Urena has done it on multiple occasions but is not on Miami's active roster due to a broken arm.
