Hunter Pence is retiring from baseball, the four-time All-Star announced on social media Saturday.
The San Francisco Giants released the 37-year-old on Aug. 24 after he hit .096/.161/.250 during a reunion with the Bay Area team.
Pence played 14 MLB seasons, winning two World Series rings with the Giants in 2012 and 2014. He also played for the Houston Astros, Philadelphia Phillies, and Texas Rangers.
He retires with a .279/.334/.461 career slash line, including 244 home runs and 942 RBIs.
