Baltimore Orioles outfielder Trey Mancini finished six months of chemotherapy for colon cancer, his girlfriend Sara Perlman announced Monday on Twitter.
Mancini received a gift from his teammates after he finished treatment:
Mancini said in April that he would need to undergo chemotherapy every two weeks for the next six months while missing the 2020 season.
The 28-year-old underwent surgery in March to remove a malignant tumor from his colon.
Mancini debuted as a major leaguer for the Orioles in 2016, and he's hit 86 home runs with 238 RBIs.
