One of baseball's top shortstops is no longer on the trade market.

It was reported Sunday that the Cleveland Indians were willing to discuss dealing Fransisco Lindor prior to Monday's trade deadline, but the four-time All-Star will remain with the team, according to Jon Heyman of MLB.com.

The news follows the blockbuster trade that sent former Indians right-hander Mike Clevinger to the San Diego Padres in a nine-player swap.

Lindor is having a down season by his standards, slashing .266/.325/.756 over 26 games with five home runs and 15 RBIs.

Contract discussions between Lindor and the team reached a standstill during the offseason. The two sides put talks on the back burner prior to the season so Lindor could focus on the 2020 campaign.

The 26-year-old is a free agent after the 2021 season.
