2021 Little League Classic to feature Angels-Indians
The 2021 Little League Classic will take place on Aug. 22 and feature a game between the Los Angeles Angels and Cleveland Indians, Little League President and CEO Stephen D. Keener announced Sunday.
The fourth annual edition of the event will happen at Bowman Field in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, and follow a full slate of Little League World Series games.
MLB and the MLBPA launched the first Little League Classic in 2017 when the Pittsburgh Pirates played the St. Louis Cardinals.
In 2018, the Philadelphia Phillies and New York Mets were the featured teams, followed by the Pirates and Chicago Cubs in 2019.
The Baltimore Orioles and Boston Red Sox were supposed to be involved in this year's matchup, but the coronavirus outbreak led to the 2020 event's cancelation.
