Joe Maddon is tired of San Francisco Giants reliever Shaun Anderson's command issues putting his players at risk.

The Los Angeles Angels manager was livid after Thursday's game, during which Anderson threw near Mike Trout's head for the third time in three days.

"Enough is enough," Maddon said postgame. "This is the major leagues. There's a level of accountability here also. I don't want to use the word irresponsible loosely, but in that situation, you pretty much knew it was going to happen again. I'm not accusing the guy of doing anything on purpose. I'm just saying he doesn't command his fastball enough in order to know where it's going."

Maddon questioned Anderson's presence in the majors on Tuesday after two of his first six pitches were thrown near Trout's head.

"That's just a young man that's not ready to be here. That's all that is," Maddon said Tuesday. "There's nothing malicious about it. I've been around it before. It could even been that he was intimidated by Mike being in the batter's box. That's not an excuse for him. I'm telling you that's what I saw."

"That's where we've got to be careful as we move this thing forward, that we don't bring up guys that aren't ready to particularly pitch with command," he added. "That's where people can get hurt. That's got to be watched."

Anderson is issuing nine walks per nine innings this season and throws his fastball in the strike zone less than 50% of the time.
