Oakland Athletics outfielder Ramon Laureano's suspension for charging at the Houston Astros' dugout has been reduced from six games to four, sources told Jeff Passan of ESPN.

Laureano will reportedly drop his appeal, and the ban will start Friday and go through Monday.

The 26-year-old was punished following a benches-clearing brawl last Sunday after Astros hitting coach Alex Cintron apparently said something inappropriate about the player's mother. Cintron, who was suspended 20 contests for his part in the melee, has denied the allegations.

Laureano hit three home runs with an .859 OPS in 19 games prior to his suspension.
