It's been a long road back from a torn labrum for New York Yankees third baseman Miguel Andujar, but he says he's pretty much back to normal.

"I feel great. I am working out five days a week building strength, working with the trainers, exercising, and doing my best to stay sharp," Andujar said, according to George A. King III of the New York Post. "It's been almost a year since my injury and I feel 100%. I am very happy where I am at physically. For a while I was working out away from (Steinbrenner Field) with a trainer, hitting and staying sharp. I am back at the complex doing everything I can to prepare myself."

Andujar, 25, broke onto the scene in 2018 when he finished second in American League Rookie of the Year voting after hitting .297/.328/.527 with 27 home runs, 47 doubles, and 92 RBIs in 149 games.

He was placed on the injured list during the first week this past season with a shoulder ailment and missed 28 games. He struggled at the plate upon his return and was eventually diagnosed with a torn right labrum. He underwent surgery and was out for the rest of the campaign.

Andujar hit just .128 in 12 games and didn't record an extra-base hit. Meanwhile, Gio Urshela picked up the slack in his absence and essentially earned the starting third base job entering spring training this year. As a result, Andujar took reps in the outfield before the game's hiatus.

However, Andujar doesn't care where he plays, as long as he plays.

"I am ready to play wherever the team needs me. I am ready to play, period," Andujar said. "I've continued to prepare to play any position I am asked to play."
