The Pittsburgh Pirates have agreed to a one-year contract with outfielder Jarrod Dyson, sources told ESPN's Jeff Passan.
Dyson will reportedly undergo a physical on Tuesday. He'll earn $2 million on the deal, reports MLB Network's Jon Heyman.
The Pirates have been on the hunt for a starting center fielder since trading Starling Marte on Jan. 27, and Dyson is expected to fill that role upon finalizing his contract.
The 35-year-old could be set to join Bryan Reynolds and Gregory Polanco in Pittsburgh's starting outfield.
Dyson appeared in 130 games for the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2019, hitting .230/.313/.320 with 27 RBIs and 30 steals.
Over the course of his 10-year career, Dyson has swiped 250 bases and played strong defense in the outfield, accruing 97 defensive runs saved.
