The Colorado Rockies signed right-hander Scott Oberg to a three-year extension with a club option for 2023, the team announced Wednesday.

Oberg's new deal is reportedly worth $13 million, according to Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic.

The contract contains escalators that could increase the three-year total to $15 million and the four-year total - if the option is exercised - to $26 million, Rosenthal reports.

Oberg authored a 2.25 ERA with a 9.3 K/9 rate and five saves over 49 appearances for the Rockies during the 2019 season.

The 29-year-old projects to start the 2020 campaign as Colorado's closer.
