Former Atlanta Braves third baseman Josh Donaldson has won the National League Comeback Player of the Year Award, the MLB Network announced Wednesday.
Cleveland Indians right-hander Carlos Carrasco was the recipient of the American League honor.
Donaldson, 33, put up a monster season for the Braves in 2019 after multiple injuries limited him to only 52 games during the 2018 campaign. The 2015 AL MVP hit 37 home runs while posting a .900 OPS in 155 contests for the NL East champions.
Carrasco, meanwhile, returned to the Indians in September after a three-month stint on the injured list following a Leukemia diagnosis. He pitched in 11 games coming out of Cleveland's bullpen.
The 32-year-old also won the Roberto Clemente Award in October for best representing Major League Baseball on and off the field.
