Harper still trolling Cubs fans: They were nice when they wanted me
Bryce Harper continues to troll Chicago Cubs fans.
After Harper angered the Wrigley Field faithful Tuesday by seemingly intentionally throwing what could have been a souvenir ball out of their reach and onto the rooftop, he offered his opinion about them before the two teams squared off again Wednesday.
"They were really nice last year because they wanted me," Harper said, according to Matt Breen of the Philadelphia Inquirer. "You know? They were nice to me but now they’re back to not."
Following his gesture Tuesday, several Cubs fans directed their indignation toward the 26-year-old by flipping him the bird.
The Cubs were rumored to be one of many teams pursuing Harper in the offseason before he signed a 13-year, $330-million deal with the Phillies.
