The Minnesota Twins have reportedly agreed to a one-year, $3.2-million contract with free-agent reliever Blake Parker, sources told Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic.
Completion of the contract is pending a physical.
Parker, 33, was non-tendered by the Los Angeles Angels in November. The right-hander saved 14 games for the Angels last year while posting a 3.26 ERA and tallying 70 strikeouts (9.5 per nine innings) over 67 appearances.
Over six major-league seasons, Parker owns a 3.29 ERA, 3.60 FIP, 256 strikeouts, and 24 saves across 229 relief appearances with four teams. Parker's best season was in 2017 when he posted a sparkling 0.83 WHIP - that ranked sixth among qualified relievers - and struck out 11.5 batters per nine innings.
The Twins will also have control of Parker for the 2020 season, his final year of arbitration eligibility.
