The San Francisco Giants are in the midst of one of their worst losing streaks in franchise history, and it looks like changes are on the horizon.

The team's CEO, Larry Baer, says fans of the underachieving Giants can expect a busy offseason as they look to improve on their current 68-79 record.

"We're gonna shake it up," Baer explained on KNBR's "Murph & Mac Podcast." "I can't tell you how it gets shaken up from the players' point of view. I think Brian (Sabean) has said it - we're just gonna shake it up. That doesn't mean everybody's gonna be moving around.

"Everybody's frustrated. I'm disappointed. Fans are disappointed."

After claiming three World Series titles from 2010-14, the Giants' winningest season came in 2016, when they went 87-75.

They've lost 11 straight games - the franchise's longest losing streak since 1951 - while possessing one of the largest payrolls in MLB.

Despite a core made up of 2012 National League MVP Buster Posey, two-time All-Star Brandon Crawford, offseason acquisition Evan Longoria, and first baseman Brandon Belt, the Giants own one of the worst offenses in baseball. Their .676 OPS is tied with the San Diego Padres and only ranks better than the Miami Marlins.

"It will be a very active offseason, I can promise that," Baer said.
