Kansas City Royals right-hander Jorge Lopez has thrown eight perfect innings against the Minnesota Twins at Target Field.
The Royals lead Minnesota 4-0.
Lopez has thrown 100 pitches while notching four strikeouts. He caught Mitch Garver looking to end the eighth.
Lopez will face Max Kepler, Robbie Grossman, and Ehire Adrianza in the ninth inning.
Lopez is trying to complete the 24th perfect game in MLB history, and the first since Felix Hernandez in 2012. The Royals haven't had a no-hitter since Bret Saberhagen in 1991.
