If 39-year-old Adrian Beltre wants to win a World Series before he retires, he may have to do it with the Texas Rangers.

Despite recent rumors, the Rangers aren't expected to trade Beltre before the deadline unless circumstances drastically change, as they'd prefer to keep him for his leadership qualities and try to re-sign him next season, according to MLB.com's T.R. Sullivan.

While he mentioned on July 11 he'd be open to waiving his no-trade clause for an opportunity to win his first World Series, the veteran has also indicated a willingness to return to Texas next season.

Beltre hasn't been his usual productive self in his 21st season in the big leagues.

Still, Rangers general manager Jon Daniels indicated he's incredibly valuable to the team.

In close to 12,000 plate appearances, Beltre has put up Hall of Fame numbers, including 466 home runs, 1,668 RBIs, and a career OPS of .820.

He's also a four-time All-Star and has five Gold Gloves and four Silver Sluggers.
